AS and A2 level Biology (Salters-Nuffield) The Salters-Nuffield Biology course provides an exciting, innovative approach to teaching and learning Biology. It achieves this by developing ideas and concepts which are taught through eight contemporary topics, designed to motivate students, in the context of real life applications of Biology.
Examples of the use of basic biological principles are taken from the contexts of health and everyday living, technology and the environment. The course is supported by an exclusive dedicated website, multimedia resources and course texts. Online specifically designed activities are available to support learning in each topic as well as those to develop and support maths and ICT skills.

Students are required to complete an extended investigation within Unit 5 as part of the coursework component at A2. This accounts for 10% of the final A2 examination.
