The Newman Library is a knowledge space offering a calm environment conducive to learning, with 16,500 resources including fiction, non-fiction and reference books, newspapers and journals, DVDs and CDs, as well as 80 computers and 75 laptops available to students and staff. Staff are on hand to support users within the library and in the classroom (for example with resource boxes).
The Library aims to promote reading for pleasure with non-fiction and fiction collections which are up-to-date and include senior fiction, quick reads, graphic novels, manga, games and puzzle books and magazines for recreation. Opportunities for reader development include the reading group and manga reading group, as well as student helpers.
