Students studying German at A Level went on a fact-finding tour to Oxford that included lectures and the chance to see the sights. The group of 10, accompanied by Mr Robert Nicholls, joined around 1500 students at the Examinations Schools to learn more about the courses open to them.
Mr Nicholls said: 'There were presentations by one of the professors of languages and other academics on different aspects of the social and working life at Oxford. They explained the tutorial system and the fact that it would be very hard work. There were four undergraduates at different levels talking to the audience about their perspective of Oxford. In the afternoon our students then had the opportunity to walk around and enjoy the city.'
