Brooke Weston Academy is celebrating another successful year of Post 16 examination results. We are proud of the attainment of our students, with 55% of all entries being graded at A*/A/B and 83% of grades A*- C. The overall average point score per student is 325, indicating an ABB profile. The top performing students, William Snaith and Henry Griffiths each achieved two A* and two A grades. William will be moving on to study chemical engineering at the University of Bath while Henry will study mathematics at the University of Durham. A further seven students achieved a profile of three A*/A grades, which is a tremendous achievement and many others achieved exceptional individual results.
Over 80% of the Year 13 cohort is moving on to university with the remainder opting for professional or vocational apprenticeships. A number of students have secured places at highly prestigious universities. These include William Bell (accounting and finance, University of Durham), Aston Chapman (law, University of Manchester), Hannah Dunston (zoology, University of Nottingham), Tino Lenton (accountancy, University of Nottingham), Sam Lewin (biochemistry, University of Nottingham), Kalina Marinova (theoretical physics, University of Bristol), Alice Pike (chemistry, University of York) and Sam Williams (chemical engineering, University of Bath).
Conor Judge is also celebrating his achievements in securing Distinction * in his level three vocational awards. He will now move on to Nottingham Trent University to study information systems, an exceptionally demanding course.
