BW Christmas Showcase success

Hundreds of students took part in this year's annual Christmas Showcase. The concerts featured acts including instrumentals, short plays, choral and classical arrangements and dances.

Due to popular demand the show was performed over two sell out nights and included the whole of Year 7 in a choir and the Year 10 GCSE drama group who tied the evening together with a performance of ‘A Christmas Carol.’

Mince pies and hot chocolate were available during the evening with proceeds going towards World Challenge Tanzania Expedition 2018.

Performing Arts teacher Miss Dawn Willis said, ‘The Showcase was a huge success, with performances from Year 7 students all the way through to Year 13 students. For some, it was their first time performing in front of an audience but they overcame their nerves to deliver outstanding performances. It was a lovely way to begin Christmas celebrations, with performances of Arthur Christmas, Polar Express and a number of Christmas songs, which performers and audience members joined in with for the finale.

‘We have had a fantastic Year in PA with our performances of ‘Grease’ and our Christmas Showcase and we are all looking forward to 2018 and our next summer musical.’
