Introducing Brooke Weston Academy’s top A Level performers

Well done to Levia Yee, who has secured a place at Cambridge, George Tysoe and Winston Ho who are Brooke Weston Academy’s top A Level performers this year.

Levia Yee was awarded A*s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry plus an A in Further Maths. She said:

‘I am going to Trinity Hall, Cambridge, to study natural sciences. That is a degree in all the sciences with maybe a module of maths too. Natural science is such a broad degree so it will help me decide what I want to do afterwards. I eventually want to go into biomedical research. I was always predicted high grades but you don’t know until the day so to get these results is so amazing.’

George, who got A* grades in Maths and Further Maths and As in Chemistry and Physics is going to study at the University of Durham. He said: ‘I am very happy with these results and they were roughly what I was expecting. I am going to study maths and want to do something maths-related afterwards as it is applicable to most areas.’

Winston achieved A*s in Maths and Chemistry, As in Biology and Further Maths and Cs in Music and Chinese. He said: ‘I am hoping to go to Keele University to do a five-year course to study medicine but still have interviews to do. I like the course structure and it is a nice area. I’d like to do medicine as I want to help people. I worked really hard for these results. I am most happy about Chemistry because I have always been on the A/A* borderline.’
