Well done to Year 9 student Maggie Gancheva, who secured second place in the 800m event, representing Brooke Weston Academy, in the Mason Trophies Inter County Athletics competition.

Maggie, who is a member of Kettering Town Harriers; one of the leading athletics clubs in the Midlands, said, ‘The 800m is my favourite event and my PB is currently 2.18.  I was up against 16 other students who all had to qualify from their own county events to take part. My next big event is the English Schools Athletics Championships in Manchester on 8^th-9^th July.’
