Brooke Weston Academy was delighted to host a primary school tag rugby event, with our Year 9 Sports Leaders officiating at the event.

David Dent from Northamptonshire Sport delivered training to the Year 9 Sports Leaders prior to the competition so that they had the necessary skills to take on the leadership of the event.

David said, ‘A huge thanks and a big well done to the Sports Leaders. They really excelled and grew in confidence in what is probably the most rule heavy competition we hold. There was positive feedback from several of the schools praising them, especially their personal skills while dealing with the players.’

Head of PE, Ryan Walsh said, ‘Our Year 9 Sports Leaders were a credit to the school and were exceptional officials for the event. Well done to all the primary schools who took part, it was a fantastic event.’
