Empowered Females In STEM Programme

Sixth Form students successful in securing places

Congratulations to our seven Brooke Weston Academy sixth form students who have secured places on the Empowered Females in STEM programme. Over 1,300 applications were submitted from schools across the UK, for only 300 places available across both Manchester and London hubs.

A representative from the organisation said, ‘Your students submitted outstanding applications and should be very proud of themselves!’

The ‘Empowered Females in STEM Programme’ is a free six-month programme that aims to educate, enable and empower young women and non-binary people to pursue a fulfilling STEM career. It is a National event sponsored by global STEM companies, including Pfizer; Facebook; Google; BP; Dyson; Salesforce; L’Oréal; Citrix; Colt; GE and UCB. The programme will provide our students with an amazing experience, and will also make invaluable additions to their personal statements and help them to stand out from the crowd during forthcoming University applications.

The successful students have been invited to attend a launch day at Amazon UK Headquarters in Central London on Friday, October 14th.
