Students have been presenting innovative ideas to senior leaders at Brooke Weston Academy, in order to promote road safety as part of the County Schools Challenge, a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style competition run by Northants Police and Fire service.

Anne Hill, Brooke Weston Trust's Executive Principal for the secondary phase, has been selected for a top role supporting schools in challenging circumstances and training new teachers.

Mr Gareth Van Wyk, a DT teacher at Brooke Weston Academy is spearheading a fund-raising campaign for his former secondary school in South Africa.

Brooke Weston Academy is the torchbearer for the Trust’s Ambition for All campaign this month with events that include fundraising, encouraging the young engineers and teachers of the future and a Carnegie shadowing event with 70 students and staff from Trust and local schools taking part.

Well done to our Year 9 students who were placed fifth out of 28 teams in the regional heats of the PIXL ‘Up for Debate’ competition, the first event of its kind they had competed in.

Students from Brooke Weston Academy are shadowing the Carnegie and Greenaway book awards, reading and comparing the 15 shortlisted titles and taking part in an event with other schools in June.
