BMX Freestyle success for Year 12 student representing Team GB!
We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of Year 12 student Alfie Crocker, who recently represented Team GB at the prestigious FISE Xperience Series 2025 in Reims, France and brought home the Gold medal in the BMX Freestyle Park – Amateur Men’s category!
The FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) is a major international urban sports tour that showcases the best in BMX Freestyle, skateboarding, roller, and scooter disciplines. It attracts elite athletes and rising stars from around the world, making Alfie’s victory even more impressive.
Alfie has been passionate about BMX freestyle for six years and began competing in 2022. Entirely self-taught in his early years, he now trains under the guidance of Declan Brooks, a founding member of the Great Britain Cycling Team’s BMX Freestyle Park programme and bronze medallist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Alfie said, ‘I started out mountain biking with my dad and then began teaching myself some freestyle tricks. My family relocated to be nearer Adrenaline Alley Skate Park in Corby, where I could really develop my skills. I was really pleased to have won, especially after crashing during the first run in the final — but I came back strong with a great second run to secure the win. Next for me is the National Championships for Elite Men at the end of July, and my dream is to compete at the Olympics in 2032.’
We are incredibly proud of Alfie’s dedication, resilience, and ambition. His success is a shining example of what can be achieved through passion and perseverance. We wish him the very best as he prepares for the National Championships and continues his journey toward Olympic glory!
