Sixth Form Football Match

A winning performance on the pitch from our Sixth Form football team

Well done to our Brooke Weston Academy Sixth Form boys’ football team, who achieved their second win of the season with a strong team performance against KBA. The match was played on home ground and ended in a 6-0 win for BWA thanks to a hat-trick from Reece Mutebi (Y12) and goals from Luca Di Rienzo (Y13), Joshua Samuel (Y12) and Kai Misciali (Y13)

Matthew Starkey (Y13), who manages the team alongside PE teacher Stuart Littlejohn, said, ‘In the first half the team played really well, and we were dominating in all thirds. Within 10 minutes, we had scored four goals in quick succession, which helped us gain a strong position in the game. KBA had more of the ball in the second half and had a fair few chances, but they rarely threatened the goal. Overall, I believe the team played well together and everyone played a part in the win, but there is always room for improvement for the next game.’

Sixth Form Football Team: Reece Mutebi, Henry Dent, Joshua Samuel, Hayden Bilton, Ollie Wisdom, Luca di Rienzo, Matty Church, Leo Chambers, Tinashe Kaitano, Maverick Asiedu, Carl Gumabay, Kai Misciali, Kian Misciali, Sebastian Fargnoli and Gavin Corpuz
