BEAT Fundraiser Update

Thank you to everyone who donated!

Thank you to everyone who supported and made a donation during our fundraising day for Beat: The UK's Eating Disorder Charity, at the end of last term as part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week; an annual campaign to educate the public about the realities of eating disorders.

Staff and students were invited to take part in a mufti-day and wear an article of purple in return for a donation to BEAT, and a market stall was set up outside the restaurant selling crochet gifts to raise extra money for the charity.

SEN Teaching Assistant, Libby West, who organised the fundraising event said, ‘I just wanted to let everyone know what an amazing thing we achieved on the last day of term to raise awareness of Eating Disorders. We raised £710 from the mufti day donations and we raised £277.70 from our stalls outside the restaurant, so in total, we raised an amazing £987.70! Thank you so much to everyone who donated and supported. The work BEAT will be able to do with this money will be life-changing. Thank you!’
