Cadbury World Visit

Year 10 GCSE Business students visit Cadbury World in Birmingham

Year 10 students were given a fascinating insight into the rich heritage of the nation's favourite chocolate brand when they visited Cadbury World in Birmingham.

The visit was organised as part of the GCSE Business course to provide students with an understanding of business ownership and competitors, business aims and objectives as well as shareholder and stakeholder interests.

Students found out about Cadbury’s position within the UK and International market and gained an understanding of how they have collaborated with various companies and organisations to ensure ethical business practices and how they adapt their product to meet the changing requirements of both consumers and the government.

Students were also able to enjoy a tour of the factory giving an appreciation of how chocolate was discovered and the different methods of production.

Lead of Business, Stuart Kelly said, ‘This was a great opportunity for our students to learn about business outside the classroom. They received a valuable talk, relating the topics covered in their GCSE to Mondelez International. The students also enjoyed the self-guided tour where they were able to learn about the growth of Cadbury’s and observe different methods of production.’
