Kickboxing success for siblings Harlee and Keris

Siblings Harlee (Y9) and Keris Hooker (Y10) are both celebrating after winning double Golds in Points and Continuous at the Northants Open Challenge Cup Kickboxing competition in Northampton.

They also competed at the WAKO British Nationals, where Harlee secured a silver medal in Light Continuous after winning two fights to get to the final, with Keris just missing out on a podium position.

Harlee and Keris also attended the WKKC English Championships, with Harlee securing a Gold in the Points category and Keris taking a silver medal in her Points category and a bronze in Light Continuous.

The siblings most recently competed in the Peterborough Championship Series where Keris won a Gold medal in the Open Weight Division, her first ever win in the Peterborough series. She also picked up a silver medal in Continuous and a bronze medal in the Points category, with Harlee taking two bronze medals after having to step up a category due to a growth spurt.

Harlee also took part in the English Schools Cross Country Championships in March, in the junior boys over 3.180km category, coming 5th for Northants Athletics and running the course in 11:53, beating his previous 3.2km time by 1 minute 58 seconds.

Congratulations to both students. We look forward to hearing about your future successes.
