Year 8 students attend Summer STEM festival at Oundle School
Some of our Year 8 students had the opportunity to explore and develop their interest in Science and Technology when they attended the Summer Stem Festival hosted by Oundle School.
The students took part in a number of engaging STEM activities which included; designing and making their own Bloodhound rocket-powered racing car, exploring how to make a cloud chamber and use it to detect particles from space, and dissecting a worm to explore its anatomy.
BWA Science teacher, Danielle Budgen said, ‘Our pupils experienced a variety of STEM activities that go beyond that of the curriculum. The pupils were impeccably behaved, they did Brooke Weston proud by the professional manner which they conducted themselves in.’
