Year 7 Residential

Our Year 7 students had an unforgettable adventure at the Pioneer Centre

Brooke Weston Academy Year 7 students embarked on their first residential trip together at the Pioneer Centre, nestled in the picturesque countryside on the edge of the Wyre Forest.

There were ample opportunities for our students to learn new skills, conquer their fears, and, most importantly, have a lot of fun!

Students and staff engaged in a wide array of activities designed to challenge and entertain. From the adrenaline rush of abseiling and zip wiring to the strategic fun of outdoor games and archery.

Students also had the chance to meet and interact with a variety of exotic animals. Students got up close and personal with a 10ft yellow baby Python named Georgina and a smaller King snake called Elvis. They were also introduced to a green Iguana, an adult Bullfrog named Shark, a tortoise, an albino hedgehog, and two curious Meerkats. For the bravest among them, handling a tarantula was an unforgettable experience!

At the end of each fun-packed day, there was time to take part in some team bonding activities helping to strengthen friendships and build a sense of community among the Year 7 students, before settling down to a well-deserved sleep.
