The PE department at Brooke Weston got more than they bargained for when they asked Year 8 sports teams to bring in a lucky mascot. Year 8 Julia Dybas brought along the massive bear that she received as a Christmas present.
PE teacher Jodie Barber said: ‘The students have been put into teams and they have to take on a role, like captain, warm up manager or kit manager and come up with a team name. They get points in lessons for things like answering questions, giving modifications for games and winning games. One task we set them was to bring in a mascot but we never imagined that there would be one as large as this bear - it's the biggest mascot we have ever seen so I am confident that JJ and the team will win maximum points for this one!'
