Good luck to Brooke Weston Year 10 student, Emerson Lloyd, who will be jetting out to Majorca to compete in a football tournament as part of the Corby Town Football Club U15 squad. They will face stiff competition from nineteen other teams who have qualified for the tournament, including teams from Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Emerson started playing football for Kettering Ise-Lodge when he was 7 years old and currently plays for Corby Town FC having scored 13 goals in 15 games this season.

Emerson said, ‘I am looking forward to the tournament and think it will be a good experience for me. I have trials coming up soon for Northampton Town FC and when I get older I would like to be a professional footballer.  One of the players I look up to at the moment is Marcus Rashford. What he has done for people in the UK and what he has achieved on the pitch for his team Man United is inspirational.’
