Brooke Weston Academy Year 9 student, Meisha Tomlinson, took to the stage recently at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London in a street dance performance with students from the Starlight Dance and Musical Theatre School.

The Starlight Musical and Theatre School offers professional training in a wide range of dance and theatre styles to its members and Meisha attends three times a week to practise her dance routines.

Meisha has been perfecting her street dancing skills for the last six years and has appeared in numerous local and national events. She is also a talented singer and is a member of a band called ‘The Rifles.’

She said, ‘Performing makes me feel so much more confident in everything I do. I love trying different things, and it is a great experience to be able to work with other performers.’
