Sixth Former Dominik Cusk from Brooke Weston Academy has been named Young Volunteer of the Year at Kettering Borough Council’s Sports Awards.
Brooke Weston Academy has been recognised nationally for its excellent results in 2018 based on data from the Department for Education and Ofsted, analysed by SSAT, the Schools, Students and Teachers network.
Champion kickboxer Zak Campbell has had an impressive few months, having just been awarded his black belt and successfully retaining his title at the World Championships.

Explorer Conrad Dickinson was Guest of Honour at Brooke Weston Academy’s Prize Giving 2018. He spoke about how his early adventures led to both Arctic and Antarctic expeditions and he has achieved the ‘Polar Trilogy’, travelling unsupported to both North and South poles and travelling across Siberia. He encouraged our students to aim high and gave them valuable life lessons during his inspirational presentation.

Congratulations to three Brooke Weston students Daisy (Year 8), Joe (Year 9) and Max Oram (Year 10) who competed with Youth Brass 2000 (YB2K) in the British Open Youth Contest in Lancashire and came away as the British Youth Champions 2018.

Mechanical Engineer and Fluid Dynamicist Dr. Shini Somara was the guest of honour at our 2017 Prize Giving where she spoke about the importance of empowering girls to be successful and inspiring others about the magic, importance and difference science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) can make.
