  • Believe Big 2019 launched at Brooke Weston Academy

    Believe Big, a Trust-wide competition to come up with life changing ideas to benefit the planet, has been launched to our Year 7 students at Brooke Weston Academy. The initiative, which is run by 7 Billion Ideas, encourages students to think creatively, make presentations, posters and jingles and promote their innovative concepts to panels of judges. The best ideas from each school will go through to a Trust Grand Final later this spring.

  • Collaborative ceramic at BWA and TCA

    Art teachers, who are also passionate about ceramics, have met up to share ideas and strategies about introducing the media more widely to students in two of our Trust schools. Charlotte Asprey from Brooke Weston Academy and Thomas Clarkson Academy’s Head of Art, Sarah Loosemore, first met at a Trust subject training day. They share a love of pottery, so Charlotte visited Sarah to see how the subject is taught at her school and share ideas.

    Brooke Weston Academy has been ranked as the fourth top performing school in Northamptonshire according to recently released Government figures. Its ‘well above average’ Progress 8 figure of 0.61 also means that it is the top performing secondary school in Corby.
