Career guidance and support
Careers education and guidance is provided as part of the curriculum and we have our own on-site advisor who can guide on all matters relating to the world of work. This includes information on career opportunities, university courses and apprenticeships. All services are delivered impartially in line with Government requirements. Tutors, the student care team and the careers advisor are all available to assist students in making informed choices throughout their secondary education.
Destinations
The secondary education offered at Brooke Weston Academy means that students are well prepared to go on to further education, employment and training. For many of our students this means continuing into the Brooke Weston Sixth form. Our Sixth Form is key part of Brooke Weston Academy and although we do things a bit differently, compared to other Sixth Forms, it is clearly successful with outstanding results being achieved year after year. Over 80% of our Sixth Form go on to University, with the rest entering high quality apprenticeships or the world of work. Our facilities are outstanding, with a dedicated Sixth Form study area, world-class library and extensive IT, sporting, dance, drama and learning facilities. All of this is set in a fantastic campus near to Corby. We also have an extensive bus network to help the Sixth Form attend Brooke Weston Academy.
