Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It’s designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers.
At Brooke Weston Academy every student is equal regardless of their starting point or background. Our high expectations, values and ethos drive staff and students to perform at the highest levels. We do not label students, but every member of staff is aware of who their pupil premium students are. This along with dedication, perseverance and rigorous monitoring, ensures that progress is made by all students including those that are pupil premium.
A small part of the Pupil Premium fund is reserved to provide concessions to parents/carers/students for Bus Costs, Day Trips, Uniform, Educational Visits, and other resources such as books and calculators. These requests are on a case-by-case basis however and cannot be guaranteed due to how the fund is used to ensure quality first teaching.
To request support from Brooke Weston Academy from the Pupil Premium fund, an application can be made by using the online form by using this link, or the Pupil Premium Application link on the right panel.
Along with Pupil Premium support, we also offer uniform support with a non-profit second hand uniform shop. If you'd like to learn more about the second hand uniform shop or speak with a member of our team about this, please use the contact form below.
