Sixth form students at Brooke Weston Academy celebrate strong post-16 results
Students and staff at Brooke Weston Academy in Corby are celebrating after achieving an impressive set of post-16 results today, including A levels and vocational qualifications.
Clare Haworth, Principal of the Academy, which is part of Brooke Weston Trust, said: “We are delighted for our students today. They have shown real dedication and maturity over the past two years, and it’s fantastic to see that effort reflected in their results. It’s a significant milestone, and one they should be very proud of.
“Our Year 13 students have been a pleasure to work with. They’ve grown in confidence and independence during their time with us, and the progress they’ve made speaks volumes about their character.
“I’d like to thank our staff for the care and commitment they show day in, day out. Supporting students to achieve their best is at the heart of what we do, and it’s rewarding to see that reflected in this year’s outcomes.”
80% of the academy’s students have secured places at their chosen university, with 30% heading to Russell Group institutes. Students will study a wide range of courses across the country, including Accounting and Finance, Engineering, and Medicine.
Clare added: “We are also delighted that two of our students have secured places at the prestigious University of Cambridge. Dylan Chan is set to study Mathematics, while Natalia Puchala will read Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. Their remarkable achievements make us immensely proud, and we wish them every success.”
Other students have been accepted onto highly competitive apprenticeships with a range of employers, including Lloyd Lynch who will embark upon an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship with Tata Steel.
Students celebrating notable successes include:
- Jayden Francois, who achieved three A*’s and will study Veterinary Medicine and Science at University of Nottingham.
- Aleksandar Savic, who achieved three A*’s and will study Medicine at University of Leicester.
- Annelies Siddre, who attained one A* and two A’s and will study Computer Science and Maths at Durham University
- Lily Cockburn, who achieved one A* and three A’s and will study Law at Queens University

“There is a great deal to celebrate across the Trust this year, with students achieving strong outcomes and progressing to a wide range of exciting next steps.
“What stands out is the consistency of effort and ambition shown by students across our academies. These results reflect their hard work, as well as the support and guidance provided by our wonderful staff.
